For a walk-in sit-down in metal patio furniture in a basement kinda place in Ashland, Oregon, I gotta think Anya's does pretty darned well. At times one must be patient when ordering and the ambiance is something to relax into, but the staff is friendly and hard-working, and the food is delicious and hot every time. I have enjoyed several manifestations of their curry, several side orders, and I do so enjoy their "drunken noodles". I make no claim to being an expert on Thai cuisine, but I know what I like and Anya's has consistently served me enjoyable food that is always a pleasure to eat. Wander down and give it a go.
The drunken noodles are great as are the curries which are what I usually order. Actually, I have liked every from their menu. The food is ‘clean’ tasting and not very processed. Having been to Thailand and the fact that Anya is Thai makes this a refreshingly authentic experience.
Delicious Thai food! We ordered the potstickers, drunken noodles and ginger chicken. The drunken noodles were the best! Yummm
Love this place. Best Thai in town and fair prices. We get take out at least couple times a month. I guess the cook had popular food cart in ptown.
In my opinion the best Pad Thai in the valley, great portions and mellow atmosphere. It's always a shame when they aren't open.
First visit, had the Pad See Ewe for lunch. Food arrived very quickly. They do a good version here - good amount of chicken, just the right amount of spice on the noodles, and not greasy or oily like many restaurants. Broccoli not freshly cooked, but was fine - that's the price for almost-ready-to-eat food.I'll be back!
I have eaten a lot of Thai both in Thailand and in the states. Their food is sub par with little flavor. I ordered veg curry with no tofu, which was filled with tofu. The owner didn't seem to care when I brought it to his attention. There is also no table service. You get your own plates, silverware and water, which would be fine if it was reflected in the prices and name. It is no bistro.
Great food, it's a shame they're closing!!
First thing i noticed was the flies hovering around the condiment bar. Then, the curtain trying to hide the disgusting kitchen. The place had a distinct smell of old grease... which carried over into the shrimp pad thai(six whole shrimp!!!). It wasn't a cheap place to eat, but i would try it again if it was cleaner. I like to see a clean kitchen when eating at a place, but maybe that's just me.
Great food at good prices. Owners are really nice.
The Drunken Noodles were great, as was the table service and not too expensive. It's our new favorite Thai place in Southern Oregon. The ambiance is a little different, in the basement area, but the taste made up for it. Can't wait to go again.
My new favorite Thai restaurant. Everything was delicious and the staff was awesome. I'm going back as soon and as much as possible. Get the panang.
Fast and tasty. Will definitely go back. Love the Drunken Noodles.
Got food here to-go yesterday. The vegetable were SO fresh! We've been to Thailand and, while there, we took an excursion to a treehouse in Laos where food was zip-lined into us. The food we had yesterday took me back to that experience. The rice was identical, the flavors identical. We were extremely impressed. Food that takes you back to a place is a treasure - and, quite frankly, this is the first time it's really happened for us. The location was also quite nifty. We plan on eating at the restaurant next time!
All I can say... I cannot wait to go back! The people there were so kind and the food was delicious! We got the Tom Kah soup and the pineapple fried rice . They were the best that I have ever had ( and we eat a lot of Thai food)! Definitely recommend this place!
Since discovering this gem, I'm now addicted. Awesome
